Lam, lan and the plural alif

After لم (did not) and لن (will not), the present loses the ن of the plural and of you, feminine: يذهبون, but لم يذهبوا and لن يذهبوا; تذهبين, but لن تذهبي.

أن and كي drop it in the same way: أريد أن تكتبوا. The dual loses it too: لن يتأخرا.

A verb that ends in the plural و adds a silent alif after it: ذهبوا, لم يكتبوا, اكتبوا. A و of the root takes none: يدعو, نرجو.
