Arabic grammar B1 · Lesson 4 of 4
Relative pronouns
Arabic relative pronouns agree with the noun: (masculine), (feminine), (people, plural), and (two). and are written with one lam.
They follow a definite noun only: , but (a man I saw), with no pronoun at all.
When the relative is the object, a pronoun on the verb often refers back to it: , the book that I read.
